Fleming’s novel - Goldfinger - was about a handsome British secret agent called James Bond. Bond was a spy who loved women, fast cars, and good food and drink. He was well- paid because his job was very dangerous. James Bond had a ‘Licence to Kill’. Sometimes he was told to kill his enemies.

When James Bond meets the multi-millionaire Auric Goldfinger, he quickly learns that Goldfinger is a clever cheat at card games. But card cheating at card games isn’t the way Goldfinger makes money. Following Goldfinger to Switzerland, Bond discovers that Goldfinger has bigger plans - to steal all the gold in the U.S. Treasury I. The only thing standing in Goldfinger’s way is James Bond.
