Little Women was her first successful book by Louisa May Alcott. The book is about her family and her experiences as a young girl. Young Louisa was like Jo March in the story. She was a tomboy and she wrote plays for the little family theater in the attic. Little Women was published in two volumes in 1868 and 1869. The book became very popular at once.
